Heads up for those of you who may be regular Colruyt customers!!

Over the last month, I became a victim of a clever scam while shopping. Simply going out to get home supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic and costly SCAM

Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends.!Here's how the scam works:Two good-looking 20-21 year old girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping items into the trunk. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their chest almost falling out of their skimpy t-shirts. It is impossible not to look. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say "No" and instead ask you for a ride to another Colruyt or Delhaize. You agree and they get in the back seat.On the way, they start undressing. Then one of them climbs into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen December 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 11th, and very likely again this upcoming weekend. So tell your friends to be careful. Thanks!

Unica reinforces its European team with Philippe Van Impe as Country Manager for Belux

Unica reinforces its Belux team with Philippe van Impe as Country Manager for Belgium and Luxemburg

Brussels, x November 2007 - Unica (NASDAQ: UNCA), the global leader of Enterprise Marketing Management (EMM) software, has appointed Philippe Van Impe as Country Manager for Belgium and Luxemburg. As such, Van Impe will be responsible for all the software supplier's businesses in both countries.

Since 1990, Van Impe has been active in the implementation and sale of application software in Europe. He started his career at Ross Systems' and later worked for Siemens as seller of SAP solutions.

After 10 years of ERP, he started to work with SCM solutions (supply chain management) as Redprairie's (LIS) General Manager Europe.

The past 5 years, he was a partner of BDA Europe where he supervised several businesses, such as SAS Institute and Intrasoft, as Interim Manager and Solution Selling Coach.

“In the Benelux, marketeers are considered as pioneers. In large banks and telecom operators, they have recognized, faster than their colleagues in other industries, the importance of an integrated "marketing system of records", explains Van Impe. “Today, companies need a system capable of streamlining and managing their marketing activities, comparable to an ERP system, for instance, that manages the financial processes, or a SCM solution that optimises the supply chain.”

Philippe Van Impe has a bachelor's degree in commercial science. He also has a master's degree in applied computing from Vlekho and an MBA from Vlerick.

It is much better now- he said

One of the kids recently said during a serious discussion: I feel much better now ... Amazing, don't you think so?

Was it that bad before or is it so much better today ?

Speeking for me, it is clear that it is much better today.

This shows once again that the world is in balance.

Autoloze zondag in Brussel . . .

This year, the Brussels-Capital Region will organize the sixth edition of its Mobility Week, in collaboration with the 19 Brussels' municipalities. Car Free Sunday, which will take place on September 23rd, will be the highlight of the week. That day, the inhabitants of Brussels will wake up in a city free of motorized traffic. No cars, no lorries, no motorbikes in any of the 19 municipalities, making thus more space for bikers, roller-bikers and pedestrians.

Are we there yet?

Of course not.
Life is not a destination, it's a journey.
Keep on driving. Roll down the window and feel the air rush through your hair. Turn up the music and let your spirit dance to the beat. See the beautiful scenery passing by.
Stop by the roadside to have a fresh beer, take the time for a Mourkezit , and whenever you can wee in the grass.
You get only one ride, so make the most of it.

Happy trails, Philippe
